There are two ways to beat the heat in Arkansas during the summer. You either stay inside with the air conditioning on full blast, or you find a body of water to cool down in. Thankfully, Northwest Arkansas has plenty of public pools and splash pads within driving distance. Come see us at McLarty Daniel Nissan in Bentonville on your way to drop off the kids. Trade in that old model for an updated Nissan car, truck or SUV with brand-new AC.
How to Keep Your Nissan Cool This Summer
Let’s start our tour of local swimming spots in Bentonville with the Bentonville Community Center, which features three indoor pools, including a family leisure pool with a water slide. If you want to be outside, drive your new ‘23 Nissan Altima to the Melvin Ford Aquatic Center. Located in Memorial Park, you can spend your day in the wading pool, a general swimming area or jump off the diving boards.
Drive Safe this Summer in a New Nissan
Maybe you’re out and about on the Bentonville Square and weren’t prepared for a full pool day, but you’d still love to get your feet wet. Visit The Fountains at Lawrence Park and splash around as it’s open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. except on First Fridays. The splash pad features over 80 water jets and plenty of seating for spectators not wanting to enter the splash zone.
If you live in Bella Vista, members of the property owners association have access to three different pools, an indoor pool at the Branchwood Recreation Center and two outdoor pools at Kingsdale and Metfield. Load up your friends in your 2023 Nissan Rogue and take them swimming. Guests of POA members are welcome for a minimal fee, and all pools are available to rent for private parties.
Heading to Rogers next, we’ll drive our new ‘23 Nissan Murano to the Rogers Aquatic Center. The name doesn’t do this place justice. It’s a small-scale water park complete with tall tube slides, a competition pool, a leisure pool, shallow play pools and a lazy river. Daily passes, as well as season passes, are available. Like Bentonville, if you’re not looking for a full day at the water park, you can stop by downtown Rogers and visit their splash pad at Railyard Park.
As we make our way across Benton County, our 2023 Nissan Titan will take us over the border to Washington County for our next stop. The Jones Center for Families in Springdale is open year-round with several different-sized indoor pools, one with a wrap-around slide. Another option is the Springdale Aquatic Center, with four pools, including an Olympic-sized pool. If you’re looking for a place to learn to swim, they offer lessons all summer long.
If you live in Fayetteville, you can pull your new ‘23 Nissan Pathfinder into Wilson Park Pool and Splash Pad, the only public pool in the city. Check the schedule for open, family, and adult lap swim so you can maximize your pool time this summer.
Another fun spot to visit in your 2023 Nissan Ariya is Siloam Springs. While they have their own Siloam Springs Family Aquatic Center with three pools, high dives and waterslides, the city also has a unique kayak park. The Siloam Springs Kayak Park is free and offers all skill levels of kayakers access to the Illinois River. In addition to kayaking, canoes and innertubes are acceptable. There’s also a family swimming area with seating, picnic tables and a paved parking lot for the non-kayakers out there.
Maybe you’re not feeling that adventurous and want something a little calmer. If you’re looking for a place not so crowded, you might try driving your ‘23 Nissan Frontier to Gravette, Prairie Grove or Pea Ridge. These smaller communities also have public pools or splash pads, open from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Keep it cool this summer in a new Nissan or one of our used cars, trucks, SUVs or vans at McLarty Daniel Nissan off Moberly Lane. Use that remote start to get your car started, crank the AC to full blast and make your way to the nearest swimming hole. Since you can’t beat the heat, you might as well join it and take advantage of all the aquatic centers NWA has to offer. Happy summer, and stay cool.
