Everyone says not to judge a book by its cover. But what about a car? What’s the first thing we notice when we drive through the lot and see all the shiny new cars? Usually, we notice the body style or the color first. Then we start looking at all the added features, like those tinted windows or the rims on the tires. And you can’t forget that sunroof! We could go on and on. Then there’s the interior. Those leather seats! That dash! The console…Ok, you get the idea, right?
But we at McLarty Daniel Nissan in Bentonville want you to have not only the most beautiful Nissan car, truck or SUV but also the safest. Let’s take a look under the hood, beyond the surface, to see what safety features and technology makes these Nissan models safe for drivers from Rogers to Springdale to all parts of Northwest Arkansas.
All of our Nissan models offer safety and driver assistance features. We’ve chosen a few models to highlight based on awards given to them by industry safety experts. The next time you make that drive to Eureka Springs or further to Farmington, rest easy knowing that your Nissan is looking after your safety and literally has your back, front, sides, and all around you protected. Come find your Nissan today at McLarty Daniel Nissan in Bentonville, Arkansas, off Moberly Lane.
Drivin’ Thru Northwest Arkansas

Thirsty? Aren’t we all. It seems we’re always in search of some liquid gold to fill up our cups. For some, that’s their favorite smoothie, for others it’s a straight black cup of Joe or a fueled-up energy drink. Everyone has their favorite morning beverage, followed by that afternoon pick-me-up. No matter what your favorite drink stop is, we at McLarty Daniel Nissan in Bentonville, Arkansas, love a good drive-thru drink stop.
If you can’t start your day without a cup of coffee, there’s no shortage of places to choose from. With the population of Northwest Arkansas growing, more and more small drive-thru coffee shops are popping up in places like Centerton, Farmington, Lowell and Siloam Springs.
Small businesses are making a name for themselves in the coffee business. Located in Hiwasse, The Coffee Container is in the perfect location, nestled between Bella Vista and Gravette, right off the exit of the new highway that takes you to Joplin. This new highway has increased the traffic flow and fulfills the need for that early morning caffeine cure.
Created from a converted shipping container, they serve the usual coffee house selections but with a twist. Swirled Cheesecake and Krunky Monkey are two of their original coffee concoctions. They also offer over 20 sugar-free flavor options, including Almond Roca and Belgian Cookie.
Ember Mountain Coffee is another small chain making its mark on NWA’s drive-thru coffee scene. With two locations, one in Pea Ridge and one in Gentry, Ember provides customers with the same quality they’ve come to expect from, say, Onyx Coffee or even Starbucks, but without having to make that drive into town.
What’s so great about driving-thru the local coffee shop is finding your new faves. Ember Mountain Coffee has some fun ones up its sleeve…or should we say in their cup. You can try a Creamy Mudslide with Irish cream, vanilla and white chocolate or maybe The Honey Oat is a vanilla latte made with honey, cinnamon and oat milk. Step out of your comfort zone with the Confident Blackberry, which is blackberry chai. The menu says, “Trust us…Give it a try.” If you’re indecisive, just order Barista’s Choice, and they’ll make you up a surprise.
Another local favorite is Locals Coffee in Fayetteville, which has the motto “Drive Thru & Leave Better!” Their goal is to provide specialty coffee with speed, accessibility and convenience. Not only is their service drive-thru only, but they offer online ordering for any of their signature lattes, classics, teas and Red Bull drinks. Some unique signature lattes on their menu are Herbalicius with lavender, mint, rosemary and thyme or the Spiced Cherry with Mexican chile and cherry.
We haven’t forgotten about 7Brew, which has over 10 locations in NWA, with three in Rogers and two in Fayetteville. Watch out, Starbucks, 7Brew is coming for you! 7Brew has made a successful niche because of its quick access as a drive-thru-only destination. It’s easy to swing in and out on your way to work or on your way home from school. 7Brew features original iced, hot or chilled coffee drinks as well as energy drinks, smoothies, teas and shakes.
For the purists out there, Sonic reigns supreme as the original drive-thru drink stop, thanks to its unique addition of flavors offered as add-ins to your drink of choice. Want a raspberry-chocolate limeade slush? Sure. How about a vanilla Diet Dr Pepper with strawberries? Got it. Sonic claims to have close to 1.3 million drink combinations. If you can’t find something you like there, you might as well just stay home and remain thirsty.
Sonic offers sodas, slushes, milkshakes and coffees on its menu, all half-priced from 2-4 p.m. every day during Happy Hour. Even better, if you download the Sonic app, you’ll get happy hour all day long.
New to the drive-thru beverage game is the Original PopUp Drink Thru, which recently opened in Bentonville. They offer their own brand of energy drink, RevUp, which comes in Original and Zero Sugar with caffeine, B vitamins and taurine. But what’s unique about PopUp’s energy drink is that it has extra carbonation because it’s on tap, which also makes it more sustainable than other energy drinks that produce excess waste from single-use cans. Besides energy drinks, their menu offers coffee specialties, tea, lemonades, shakes and specialty sodas.
Taking a page from Taylor Swift’s songbook, they offer two Diet Coke drinks. One is called Love Story with coconut and fresh lime and the other called Blank Space with watermelon and fresh lime. Are Queen or Elton John more your style? In that case, you can order a Dr Pepper-based soda titled Bohemian Raspberry with raspberry puree and coconut cream or Rocket Man with vanilla and coconut cream.
No matter where you wet your whistle, make sure you do it in a Nissan Altima, Rogue, Frontier or Titan. When asked where you got such a beautiful car, make sure you tell them to come see us at McLarty Daniel Nissan off Moberly Lane in Bentonville.

What is Nissan ProPilot Assist?

Every new Nissan car that is released onto the market places a strong emphasis on safety features. Even though Nissan’s ProPilot Assist 2.0 is just the beginning of the company’s search for the ideal autonomous car, it has surely piqued our interest here at McLarty Daniel Nissan!

Keep scrolling to get more information from the staff at McLarty Daniel Nissan about what Nissan ProPilot Assist 2.0 is and how it operates.
The current Nissan ProPilot Assist technology has been upgraded to the second version, which is known as ProPilot Assist 2.0. This suite of advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS) is a ramp-to-ramp system that is designed to give drivers the ability to experience safe hands-off driving while cruising on a predefined route on the road. The system is designed to give drivers the ability to experience safe hands-off driving when cruising on a predefined route.
It does need drivers to be aware and be ready to take over control at a moment’s notice, but it is a step in the right direction towards the goal of having vehicles that can drive themselves in the future.
ProPilot Assist 2.0’s Features
Because it is a “ramp-to-ramp system”, the hands-free driving features of ProPilot Assist are only accessible on mapped, restricted access highways that have been specifically designated for its usage. It offers help to the driver without the use of the driver’s hands in a variety of scenarios that are frequently seen on motorways, freeways, and expressways.
ProPilot Assist 2.0, in contrast to completely automated driving systems, demands the driver to maintain a state of vigilance for the entirety of the journey. In addition, the systems will on occasion suggest that the driver take control of the vehicle if the circumstances warrant it.
The ProPilot Assist 2.0 ADAS technology allows the car to navigate pre-mapped highway systems, but it is unable to handle difficult or possibly dangerous circumstances, such as a junction. Why? Because it might be difficult for an automated system to figure out the laws of the road in areas where streets intersect one another, the driver is required to take charge in order to finish the activities that need to be done.
The device is particularly useful in that it enables hands-free driving at a predetermined speed when the vehicle is traveling down an interstate. It is also capable of indicating to the driver that it is feasible to pass a vehicle that is driving at a slower speed if the circumstances are suitable.
The ProPilot Assist 2.0 technology will provide the driver with both auditory and visual indicators in the event that the chance to pass a slower vehicle presents itself. The driver needs to indicate that they are okay with the activity by placing both hands on the steering wheel and then flipping a switch before the pass can be executed. When it gets to that moment, the Nissan will pass the slower vehicle.
A second option for the driver to begin the lane change is to place both hands on the steering wheel and then use the turn signal to indicate the lane that should be taken. After using its sensors and computer logic to ascertain whether or not the lane change can be executed without incident, the system will proceed with the maneuver.
In the last step, the system will alert the driver that the hands-free operation is about to come to an end when the car is getting close to a highway exit that is a part of the predefined route. When the automobile approaches the departure ramp, the technology that assists the driver will deactivate, and the driver will be required to resume control of the vehicle in order to continue the journey.
High-precision satellite positioning technology is an essential element of the ProPilot Assist 2.0 system. This technology gives the system the ability to pinpoint the location of the car on mapped roadways with an accuracy of one second at a time.
Concurrently, the system needs high-definition map data of the roadway and the areas surrounding it. This is much more than just “street maps,” as it contains stuff like the following:
- Road curvature
- Slope and Elevation
- Lane markers
- Speed limitations
- Signs on the road
However, the system requires more information than simply knowing where the car is located on the roadway. In addition to that, it should depict the locations of the lane markings and the other vehicles that are currently on the road. To do so, it integrates several cameras, radar sensors, and sonar sensors. For it to be able to steer and regulate the throttle and brakes in real-time, it has to be able to use all of the data that is coming in.
As can be seen, this needs a large amount of computer programming in order to integrate all of the data and supply the appropriate inputs in order to maintain the vehicle’s safety while it is operating on the road.
Are you ready to give the new version of ProPilot Assist a try for yourself? Schedule a test drive at McLarty Daniel serving Centerton, Bella Vista, Bentonville, Eureka Springs, Fayetteville, Pea Ridge, Springdale, and Rogers, Arkansas with any car that is equipped with ProPilot Assist 2.0, and we will walk you through the process step by step.

SHOP OUR SELECTION OF THE NISSAN VERSA TODAY
To begin, the compact size of the Nissan Versa contributes to its excellent fuel economy. The 1.6-liter four-cylinder DOHC engine achieves an average of 36 miles per gallon while producing 122 horsepower and 114 lb.-ft.of torque. Now, it could appear that driving the Nissan Versa, which has such a little engine, would be comparable to driving a gasoline-powered shopping cart. Because Nissan upgraded the 2022 model with a rigid chassis, a stiffer rear suspension, upgraded speed-adjusting steering, and hill start assist, the Versa will not feel the same as the other small sedans on the market.
The fascination of the Nissan Versa is not just limited to how well it drives on the road. In addition, the 2022 Versa offers amenities and versatility that are on the cutting edge in the compact sedan industry. To begin, the Versa has a trunk capacity of 14.7 cu.-ft., which is sufficient space to accommodate all of your household goods as well as other items. Following that, the Advanced Drive-Assist Display will give you a digital readout of your vehicle’s speed, fuel economy, Bluetooth connections, and safety alerts. Last but not least, the 2022 Nissan Versa comes standard with heated side mirrors, which are useful for clearing away ice on frosty winter mornings.
The Nissan Versa’s versatility is just one facet of this car’s overall appeal. Nissan is aware of the importance of ease and comfort in the automotive industry. This indicates that the Nissan Versa comes standard with a plethora of available options, including Front Heated Seats, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, remote start, Nissan Connect, and several USB charging ports for both the driver and the passengers. You and your front passenger will be able to enjoy the ride at the ideal temperature thanks to the Dual Climate Control system that comes standard on the Nissan Versa. If that wasn’t enough, the Versa also comes standard with Bluetooth connectivity.
Exceptionally Fine Aspects
You might be concerned about the Versa’s level of safety because it is a compact sedan. It is really important to have a huge trunk, heated mirrors, and Bluetooth audio, but the most important thing is to know that you are safe. The National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) rated the Versa as a 5-Star vehicle when it came to its ability to withstand a collision.
What do you believe all of that adds up to in terms of its ability to be fun, versatile, and safe? A staggering $15,080 bucks is the answer. If you are interested in purchasing the highest-end model of the 2022 Nissan Versa, the SR, the price will be approximately $18,790. Remember to ask your sales representative about any discounts or rebates that may be available.
So, how would you summarize the Versa? It has a surprisingly roomy interior, top-of-the-line safety systems, and a reasonable price tag for such a well-appointed, technologically advanced, and environmentally friendly vehicle. If you are in the market for a new car close to Entleton, Bella Vista, Bentonville, Eureka Springs, Fayetteville, Pea Ridge, Springdale, or Rogers, Arkansas, and you want something that won’t put a dent in your finances but will still last you for at least 100,000 miles, the Versa is the obvious choice! Stop by McLarty Daniel Nissan to have a look at the brand new 2022 Nissan Versa.

Power
With a new nine-speed automatic transmission and the same 3.5-liter V6 engine that produced 284 horsepower in the previous generation, the 2022 Pathfinder has a 0-60 time of 6.7 seconds. Although front-wheel drive is the default, most of the Pathfinders that we sell come with all-wheel drive. This adds a total of seven drive modes to the vehicle, some of which are designed specifically for usage off-road, such as sand and mud. The power and transmission of the Pathfinder allow it to have a maximum towing capacity of 6,000 pounds.
Interior
Inside the base model of the Pathfinder lies an entirely new experience, with plenty of storage space, new materials, and other upgrades. With the addition of 20-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, a Bose audio system, heated rear seats, and wireless smartphone charging, the SL Premium Package transforms the Pathfinder into an unquestionably opulent vehicle.

These packages include wireless sync, a 12.3-inch digital gauge display, an onboard Wi-Fi hotspot, a wireless smartphone charging pad, SiriusXM satellite radio, a head-up display, an in-dash navigation system, and a Bose system with 13 speakers.
Safety
Are you in the market for a new SUV that offers an impressive host of safety features that will help provide you and your loved ones with peace of mind in Northwest Arkansas? We’ve got you covered! You can learn more about the Pathfinder’s standard safety features, which include automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and automatic high-beam headlamps, by reading more about the Pathfinder’s standard safety technology below.
Intelligent Forward Collision Warning is a special feature for this class. Intelligent Forward Collision Warning monitors the two vehicles ahead of you and alerts you to reduce your speed if it detects an abrupt acceleration or deceleration by the vehicle in front of you.
The Pathfinder’s standard Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection can deliver audible and visual alerts and even deploy the brakes to assist in the avoidance of or reduction in the severity of a collision.
The Lane Departure Warning system helps ensure that you only change lanes when you intend to do so. You will receive a warning from the system if it determines that you are approaching the edge of the map.
The Blind Spot warning system will see what you can’t see behind you. If it finds a vehicle in the region that is covered by your blind spot, it will alert you with a chime so that you can change lanes in a safer manner.
When you are pulling out of a parking spot in your Pathfinder, the standard Rear Cross-Traffic Alert system can warn you of oncoming vehicles that may be out of sight. This feature is available when you upgrade to the Pathfinder Platinum.
The RearView Monitor is a system that uses a camera mounted on the liftgate to increase the brightness of the surrounding light, broaden the driver’s field of view behind the vehicle, and assist the driver in seeing around people or goods. It has a higher resolution and a larger display.
Rear Automatic Braking keeps an eye out right behind you for any stationary objects that you might miss. It can automatically apply the brakes in the event that it detects something and you fail to stop, which can help avoid a rear-end collision or decrease the severity of an impact.
High Beam Assist is a feature that helps you drive safely at night by automatically dimming your bright lights whenever it detects another vehicle approaching from behind.
Your steering habits are monitored by Intelligent Driver Alertness, and if the system determines that you may be starting to nod off while driving, it will sound an alarm and display a warning icon on the screen.
The SV, SL, and Platinum trim levels all come standard with Nissan’s semi-autonomous driving mode, which they refer to as ProPilot Assist. (ProPilot is quite popular among our clientele.)
Value
The 2022 Pathfinder offers an exceptional value to families who are constantly on the go. The Pathfinder can transport you to locations in Northwest Arkansas that other SUVs are unable to, and it does so in luxury and style. The owners of our Pathfinders couldn’t be happier with their vehicles.

Dealer Relationship
It may seem apparent, but the ideal place to meet a Nissan service professional is where Nissans are sold. Dealer technicians are educated to provide a level of service that is not usually available. In an independent shop, your automobile is only one of a dozen that day. But at a Nissan store, the mechanic knows your car’s model and trim level inside and out.
Also, dealership experts will follow Nissan’s suggested service schedule. Consistent visits to the dealer will not only create relationships with technicians but also with the dealer. This will come in handy when you need to buy a second Nissan to accommodate an expanding family.
Nissan Experts
Many shops claim to be experts in particular aspects of your automobile, such as a transmission business claiming to have transmission experts. This may or may not be true. Any random store can claim to have experts, but it’s difficult to evaluate if their claims are accurate or whether their “specialist” is a “jack of all trades” who changes hats for each task that comes in.
However, Nissan certified dealership professionals learn to undertake specific repairs or maintenance procedures. The trained technicians frequently specialize in one make or model. It’s simple to trust a technician who has the full support of Nissan.
Warranties
Dealer warranties set them apart from other repair businesses. First, the dealer gets direct access to the manufacturer’s warranty information for every Nissan model. So they’ll know instantly if any maintenance or repairs are covered and may proceed immediately. A business won’t usually conduct a free repair unless they’ve established they’ll be reimbursed by Nissan. And if they aren’t approved, they can’t.
A second option is that if your Nissan needs a repair that is not covered by the dealer warranty, the dealer can give a service guarantee that is recognized by other dealers across the country. Normal repair shops cannot provide this.
Recalls
Manufacturer recalls are another reason why dealers beat repair businesses. They not only know about manufacturer recalls early, but can get replacement components sooner. Manufacturer recalls are only sent to repair shops once a month. Most manufacturers require a paid membership to receive alerts. If the shop hasn’t been notified or has let their membership lapse, they may not be aware of the recall and may let your car depart in a dangerous state.
Manufacturer recalls are sent to dealers regularly and customers are contacted quickly. When a Nissan is serviced, it is immediately examined for ongoing recalls. If one exists, they normally have the part on hand to make the replacement without charge.

Facilities
The experience at a Nissan dealer is far superior to that of an average vehicle repair shop. The waiting room and service area are generally cleaner, better manned, larger, and more organized. The receptionist and the bathrooms are considerably nicer too.
If you’re looking to have your Nissan vehicle serviced or even repaired and live in Centerton, Bella Vista, Bentonville, Eureka Springs, Fayetteville, Pea Ridge, Springdale or Rogers, Arkansas, we invite you to make an online appointment at McLarty Daniel Nissan in Bentonville. Our Nissan service advisors will take it from there, offering you high-quality service at an affordable price.
Certified Pre-Owned vs Used Nissans
Buying Used: A Smart Way to Save
The biggest perk of buying a used car? The price. Used vehicles are generally more affordable because they’ve already been through some depreciation. In fact, a new car can lose over 20 percent of its value in the first year alone. When you buy used, someone else has already taken that hit, meaning you get more car for your money.
Maintenance Tips for Your Nissan
Another plus? You can research the vehicle’s history with a report that shows past accidents, service records, and ownership details. While used cars don’t usually come with a warranty, you can often purchase one separately for added peace of mind. And since used car prices are typically more negotiable, you might even score a better deal!
Certified Pre-Owned: Like New, Without the New Price Tag
If you love the idea of a nearly new car but want to save some cash, a CPO vehicle could be the perfect middle ground. These cars go through a rigorous multi-point inspection, meet strict age and mileage requirements, and come with manufacturer-backed warranties.
CPO vehicles typically have fewer miles and are in excellent condition, plus they often include perks like roadside assistance, free maintenance, and even satellite radio trials. While they do cost more than a standard used car, that extra investment gets you added protection and confidence in your purchase.
Pro tip: Even with a CPO vehicle, it’s always a good idea to have an independent mechanic check it out. While we conduct thorough inspections at McLarty Daniel Nissan, we totally understand wanting a second opinion before making a decision.
Which Option Is Best for You?
It really depends on what matters most to you—budget, warranty coverage, and long-term peace of mind. Think about what fits your needs in terms of brand, model, trim, fuel efficiency, and, of course, price. If you plan to keep your vehicle for a long time, warranty coverage and reliability may be top priorities. On the other hand, if you’re looking for the best value upfront, a used car might be the way to go.
At McLarty Daniel Nissan, we’re here to guide you through the process. Our team will take the time to understand your needs, budget, and lifestyle to help you make an informed decision. Whether you’re leaning toward a budget-friendly used car or the added security of a CPO vehicle, we have a great selection and a knowledgeable team ready to assist you every step of the way.
